Since I was a child, spelling slips, grammatical doubts, and missing accents have slowed my writing down. They created a frustrating gap between what I meant and what appeared on screen.
I can speak to a computer faster than I can type, but speed does not always bring clarity. Writing gives me the pause to let an idea settle, find its shape, and understand what I actually want to say.
